Eataly: Restaurateur Felice Arletti represents Tuscia at the 2016 edition of Terra Madre

(NewTuscia) – TORIANO – Canepina maccaroni conquering the world. On Saturday 24 September, the ancient and famous egg pasta made strictly by hand, the result of centuries-old wisdom, will be presented at Eataly, as part of the 2016 edition of Terra Madre – Salone del Gusto, the most important international event dedicated to the culture of food, organized by Slow Food, the Ministry of Agricultural and Forestry Policies, the Piedmont Region and the Municipality of Turin. The 2016 edition of Terra Madre – Salone di Gusto in Turin will not take place in the exhibition center but in the streets, squares and gardens of the Piedmontese capital.

The “Ambassador” of the maccaroni (which in a clumsy attempt at Italianisation are also called hay) will be Felice Arletti, owner of the Agriristoro Il Calice e la Stella in Canepina, appointed by Slow Food Lazio to represent the province of Viterbo. The young restaurateur, who in recent years has stood out for his massive and patient promotion of the typical pasta outside the regional borders, will present a real invention of his: hemp maccaroni. Obviously, the hemp macaroni will be "accompanied" by other typical and traditional local dishes. The cocking show is scheduled for 12pm on Saturday 24 September.

“The future of Tuscia as a territory also passes through awareness of the local agri-food qualities and the boundless passion that our producers put into their work”. This is how Arletti motivates his action to promote typical local products. “On the great world stage that is Terra Madre – Salone del Gusto, with exhibitors from the five continents, representing Tuscia and promoting the food and wine richness of my beloved land is an honor for me” adds the young restaurateur. Arletti graduated in environmental sciences from the University of Tuscia with a thesis entitled "The natural ecomuseum of the Cimini mountains", with which he proposed transforming another historical resource of the Cimini, the chestnut groves and the products of their undergrowth, into a natural museum.

The passion for typical products recently led Arletti, on the occasion of a charity dinner, to create a menu as original as it is tasty: from the appetizer to the maccaroni-based dessert. A true full immersion in the local tradition made of flavours, aromas and unforgettable sensations.
